Welcome to my hunting page. Hunting holds a special place in my heart. To me, there is nothing like being out in the woods, seeing and hearing all the things nature has to offer. The actual taking of a game animal is actually secondary to the whole experience. After going through the younger years of my adult life, I started hunting again in 1995, when I bought my first compound bow and then later in the year a Marlin 30-30 336CS. Here are pictures of the animals I have taken, with explanations below.

These 2 deer were taken 30 seconds apart on opening day of the 1999

Here is my son Joshua pictured with the 2 deer. He had asked if he could gut the deer if I were to get one that day. Little did he realize I would get 2. He did gut both deer with no complaints at all.

Deer Hunting 2005

This Doe was taken at about 7:30 am on Nov. 19, 2005. That was opening day
of 2005’s deer hunt. This was the 7th deer that I had seen that
morning but the first that actually gave me a shot. I was using my Remington
model 710 30-06, and this was the first deer taken with that rifle. I was on
private land owned by my aunt. As can be seen, we had just enough of a snow
cover to make seeing and tracking very nice, although this deer only went about
30 yards after the shot. Very large doe! We stayed at

This Doe was shot at 8:30 am on 11-23-2007. The Friday of the 2007 Wisconsin Deer gun season. This deer was taken in The Northern Kettle Moraine Forest. I actually did not find the deer until about 3:00 pm, after my nephew and I went to a spot I had hunted earlier in the season. This deer went about 500 yards after being shot and did not give me a blood trail to follow. I used my Mossberg 835 to take this deer. My Brothers, myself, my son, and my nephews all camped out at Mauthe Lake State Park in our popups.
